Anne Burrell wasn’t the only professional cook at her wedding – Rachael Ray joined the bride as a bridesmaid! In fact, the latter has never been a bridesmaid before, as she later confessed to People. Two Food Network stars have been celebrity friends for a while now, and it was natural for them to be together at a bridal party. Who’s the lucky groom? Burrell got married to Stuart Claxton. Joined by four girlfriends, the two tied the knot on October 16 in Cazenovia, New York, where Burrell was born. The 52-year-old newlywed couldn’t help but write a post about her stunning ladies on Instagram. “I feel so grateful to have such an AMAZING group of smart, strong, funny and just AMAZING people around me. I am truly a #luckygirl !!!” she wrote, captioning the group picture of her and the bridesmaids.
Apart from Ray, there were three more girls in the picture. Burrell’s sister Jane was one of them, serving as a maid of honor. Two friends, Aura Carpenter and Melissa Rosenfield were the two other bridesmaids. When it comes to the outfits, Burrell didn’t miss out on great dresses. Jane, Ray, and Rosenfeld wore burnt orange tea-length dresses with colorful tulle underneath. All of them had different colors. Carpenter, on the other hand, chose a black off-the-shoulder gown with a floral print.
Special Party For Anne Burrell

Burrell wanted to have a special wedding party, so Ray and other bridesmaids received custom-made dresses. The orange outfits represented her style, she said, and the chef spend a lot of time planning them out. “I was looking around at bridesmaids’ dresses and everything just sort of seemed shapeless, and pastels. And I’m like, ‘That’s not really my jam,'” the bride stated. The bright-colored tulle is rarely visible – it’s a small detail that makes every dress unique. “We’ll only see that though when they’re sitting down, or when they’re dancing,” Burrell said. “So we’ll see that little pop of color, and each one is individual.” While the bridesmaids’ dresses are bright and rather crazy, the cook chose a classic wedding dress for herself.
Her gown is timeless – white Carolina Herrera dress was flowing in the wind as she took pictures with her guests, and stunned her groom when she went down the aisle in a carriage. “I don’t care about the cheese factor. Every time I mention the horse and carriage Stuart laughs a little bit,” Burrell said, “and I’m like, ‘Alright, whatever. It’s my moment and I mean to have it.'” Burrell got engaged in April of 2020, then traveled to Europe with Claxton, bridesmaids, and their spouses. The group of friends had a great time in Spain and Italy together. Later, in Rome, they went different ways. Girls ended up in Ray’s Tuscany home, partying and having lady’s time.
“I don’t know if I would say it was very bachelorette-y, but it was exactly what I wanted,” Burrell said. “I will give up a Vegas vacation to stuff my face full of carbonara in Rome any day of the week.”
