Do you love Winnie the Pooh? Well, do we have the ultimate vacation for you! Believe it or not, you can book an Airbnb designed to look exactly like Winnie the Pooh’s Tree House. That’s right! Read on to find out more…
Staying At The Winnie The Pooh’s Tree House
It all started with a simple idea. Kim Raymond, the current illustrator for the Winnie the Pooh books, wondered if he could turn Pooh’s treehouse into a real-world location, as a celebration of Pooh’s 95th anniversary. Turn out: he could! Working with Airbnb, Raymond helped develop a one-bedroom tree home into a real-life Pooh’s treehouse! The team custom-designed every detail of the “bearbnb” to match elements from the books and movies. “The ‘Bearbnb’ is a unique experience that brings the charm of Pooh to life for fans, whilst honoring the original adventures that have been so important to many people for 95 years,” Raymond explained in a news release. “I have been illustrating Winnie the Pooh for 30 years and I continue to be inspired by the classic decorations of E.H. Shepard and the more recent Disney stories.”
The end result, located in Nutley, England, is something to behold. Built into a real tree, the home features one big room, complete with the Mr. Sanders sign above the door on the outside. Of course, one can find plenty of “hunny pots” inside. Given the size, up to four guests can head to the treehouse at any given time. But given the reviews so far, it’s a must-do for any Winnie the Pooh fan!
BearBnB Reviews
The reviews for the BearBnB are genuinely fantastic. “We knew this trip was going to be special, but we were blown away with every part of our stay! The hospitality, the food, the location and accommodation was incredible,” wrote reviewer Beki. “The attention to detail was amazing and so accurate to Winnie the Pooh stories. We really did feel like we were part of the Pooh family in the Hundred Acre Wood. Thank you Airbnb and Disney for memories to treasure forever.”
Another reviewer, Liam, called the experience “once-in-a-lifetime. The place was incredibly beautiful and detailed, and we had a magical experience. The food provided was all outstanding and we had a wonderful night’s sleep. The AirBnB team we dealt with (James and Kallista) were friendly and helpful and Bjorn our security guard was friendly and welcoming too. We cannot overstate how amazing every aspect of the experience was.”
While the home is not available for booking right now, it seems inevitable that AirBnB will bring the beloved home back online at some point. So keep an eye on the booking page if this sounds like the perfect trip for you and yours!
